Its official, call me Mr Apostate from now on

i overheard a conversation from my family, jw's are shunning me, but the best part is i am not a jw, never been bathtised, just a born in who woke up in his early thirties.

the reasoning behind it was something i did, it wasn't fornication because im still a virgen, it wasn't stealing, killing or praying to false gods, drinking or anything that the bible defines as sin, im not even the going out type, i dont have many friends, never been reprove or did anything to set a bad example (i was your typical jw) no no no, it was a book, it was sending an email to a family member who happens to be jw with the shephearding the flock ppf.. this book was a huge shock to the person, eventually it raised questions and spread around, eventually this went full circle back at me, my parents already concerned for some time has asked brothers to see if they can fix my reasoning so i can be brainwashed again and give them money to some rich guys in brooklyn who dont have any ethical responsibilities towards others.

i wanted my parents to do this, i want them to see what the brothers will do and say about me, thinking and hopping, that some day they will wake up from their long sleep.

Anyone here have any experience with the "super-natural"?

and if so, would that prove an existence of evil-spirits (demons)?.

i have heard of a couple of stories of possession, or of jw's talking to spiritists and the spiritists having seen 2 men following the jw, either dressed all in black, or all in white, and very strong looking.

yet, i have never experienced any of it.. another experience that i heard is about a brother whose mom had super-natural strength, and tossed something really heavy.

I will come back here in ten years time, and stand by everything I said. It happened when I was 10/11...and Im 40 now. Ive not changed my mind regarding what I, my dad, and twin bro and sis saw from then, Im certainly not going to change my mind in another ten years.

As I said in my previous post, we would be ingnorant to assume we are the only entities in this universe. I stand by everything I said. I wasnt alone when I saw these things. I dont know what it was, but it was something.

Hi ALIAS...yes I saw them. I was 11...my twin sister and brother were there and my dad.....we ALL saw it happen. Things like this happened time and time again. EVERY event had at least 2 witnesses, I was never on my own when these things happened. My dad is a "proper Welshman"...proud, hard-working, a straight talker, hard but fair........he was reduced to tears the evening the glass smashed.....it was the culmination of monthes of unexplained phenomenon. It was my dad that insisted we move house for these very reasons.

I didnt imagine these things. We all saw them. They happened.

I had problems from the age of ten. The gypsy next door helpfully told my mum that the poltergiest activity in our house was because of me...it was drawing on my energy as I became a woman (about to start my menstrual cycle).

Tins of food flying around, xmas decs flying off and orbiting around, hot coles jumping out of the fire (about 5ft), pictures spinning on walls...

and the worst one......the oil lamp lifted its glass top off itself...moved to the middle of the room and hovered for a good 15 seconds before throwing itself 50mph into the fireplace.....my dad burst out crying (a tough talking miner), rushes us 3 kids upstairs and begs my mum to come home. God, that was back in 1982. We moved shortly after that. A few things have happened to me over the years, but nothing as bad as that.

As far as JW involvement goes....about 3 years ago, in my former cottage, I walked into my living room around dusk and there was a man clearly sitting in the armchair. Well, Id been studying with the JWs about 3 years at this point, I freaked and called the elders. They came right out...and sat with me and hubby (he saw the man in the chair too). They admitted they felt a presence, but I was in no danger, and opened the NWT at Psalms or something...........they told me right off that Satan was targetting me as I was growing closer to God......crapped myself. Moved about 6 monthes later to my present home.

Had a few instances of very strong baking smell, and perfume.....my mum baked wedding cakes and wore flowery perfume.....although Ive been told she is asleep in death. WHO KNOWS? It would be extreamly arrogant of us to assume we are the only intelligent life . Im sure also that things exist beyond our understanding and comprehension.

Birthdays

so wife and i are kinda in limbo lately, wanting to fade, but hard to commit to fading 100%.

we have howver decided to do a little birthday thing for my son soon(cake but no candles, but did get him a present and card), and we haven't really talked to the kids about how we feel lthat birthdays are no different from anniversaries despite what the society prints.

any ideas on what to say to the kids or how to deal with it ourselves?.

i can't stand the contrived, rehearsed, robotic sound of the interviews and experiences.

i can't stand the repeated references to the fds, and i especially can't stand the college education bashing that seems to be thrown in there in just about every other talk.. here's my assesment of the assembly:.

I think things are coming to a head to be honest. They know something is up. You know something is up......

I know you say you want to fade in your own time, in your own way, but I think the longer you leave it the more pain you will endure in the end.

Behind your back, the rumour mill is in overdrive....do you really want to put yourself through the indignity of all the dirty looks, snide remarks, gossip, lies....and going to a JC where you wont win?

Tim, Im so pleased you are out, and finally beginning to be the real you. I promise you, leaving the bOrg does NOT mean abandoning your faith! You and God have a direct relationship that does NOT need their approval! The sooner you get this over with, the sooner you can start living your real life, cult free.

Dont go back out on FS....what are they gonna do? Rip out your entrails? Tell them you no longer believe the FDS are the only channel of communication through with God works......and REFUSE point blank to be drawn any further. REFUSE to go to meetings, and REFUSE to attend the inevitable JC.

You DONT NEED THEM.....you already have what you need. Gods Love x

Does God speak to you? HOW?

an answer to this question is subjective to the individual an a posteriori experiene.

however, can there be an a priori experence, one that is objective, outside the bounds of personel experiene, or does it remain subjective?

god speaks to me, through many venus, except audible.
